Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

I have a great pleasure to invite you to participate in 39th Winter School on Wave and Quantum Acoustics organized by Upper Silesian Division of the Polish Acoustical Society, Institute of Physics and Department of Optoelectronics at Silesian University of Technology. Like previously the Winter School will be divided on separate Winter Workshops.

As always, the School has been a place where achievements of various sections of acoustics (especially molecular acoustics, quantum acoustics, acousto-optics, magnetoacoustics, photoacoustics, acoustics of solid state etc.) are being exchanged. Moreover, some similar and related topics, for example optoelectronics, reaxation processes and thermal wave methods, will be presented too.

We suspect that proposed workshops will have more or less permanent character. In the future we plan to organize workshops on other subjects. We invite other scientific centers to cooperation in organizing workshops on the subjects of their interests.

In this year we propose you 6th Winter Workshop on Acoustoelectronics. It means, that traditional range of that Workshop will be narrower – without optoelectronics. It is because we simultaneously propose you, similary like in 2008, take participation in associated conference – the 4th conference on Integrated Optics – Sensors, Sensing Structures and Methods.

Once again we have taken pains to organize this conference taking into account the fact that it is an important event for acousticians, opticians, physicists, chemists and other Polish and foreign scientists. We hope that this reach conference program will gain acceptance and respect among its potential participants. We count on your numerous responses and active participation.
